cute and fashionable
My criteria: comes to the knee
the shoulders covered
Natalie and I spent 4 1/2 hours shopping 2 malls to try to find her a modest spring dress for the church dance last Saturday. After the long ordeal of trying too many ill fitting and immodest dresses on, we finally found this dress at a little shop close to our home. I spent 20.00 dollars more than budgeted in order to buy the t-shirt that matched to go under, but it was worth it in order fit both our criteria. I think this summer I may have Alison, the master sewer, help me make a few custom dresses. I would rather spend all day sewing than shopping all day at the mall!!!

Em, that is surprising to me that Utah does not have more of a modest selection! I spent 5 hours yesterday in Ontario with Erica shopping for her mission clothes. It was a little hard to meet the mission criteria for the length on skirts and dresses, but we were successful we found 2 skirts, 5 shirts, 1 pair of shoes and three nicer jackets to go with the skirts! She said she was done shopping for a couple of weeks! Me too! We are whimps!
Amy--there are some stores that have more modest dresses but those dresses didn't fit Natalie right or they looked to Relief Society, as Natalie put it. ha ha. Boy missionaries are easier to clothes, just a few suits and lots of ties and white shirts. Good luck with the shopping!!!
When do we start? I can't wait.
Also check out shabbyapple.com and downeastoutfitters.com
Good for you both.
Have you looked at www.diviinemodestee.com? They have some cute stuff.
Cute Dress! Yeah, Downeast has some cute spring dresses. They also have the tank tops and t-shirts that are kind of like shade shirts.
Love the dress! I especially loved it with the cowboy boots on Sunday! So cute!
Natalie is so cute she could show up to a dance in sweats and they boys would still want to dance with her. Forget all the shopping! It must be stressful coming up w/ outfits for all those events!
