This year the first day of school was a little different than other years. I was sick and Natalie was sick also and stayed home. Usually I make a fun big breakfast and put cute notes, snacks, prizes etc in their lunch and backpacks. I was so tired that all they received was money for hot lunch. It was not the best first week of school and hopefully the rest of the year is a lot healthier and organized. Joseph starts kindergarten this week and I will treat that as the real first day of school. I also realized as the kids get older they do not enjoy first day of school pictures--notice the bad attitude of the boys.

Great outfits! We use to lay our clothes out in really funny positions like they were jumping or dancing on the first day of school
I am sorry you were so sick the first day of school! Thank goodness the kindergartners start a few weeks later so you can start over again! As I was taking my kids first day of school pics, Parker kept saying, "Okay, we gotta hurry. Only ONE picture PLEASE!" All your kids look so cute! BTW, Joseph was soooo darling in Primary yesterday as the Prodigal Son in Sharing Time. Every time he gets in front of the group, he kills me! He is so cute!
Heidi--Joseph is such a character it scares me to think what he is saying at church. He sometimes mixes up movies with church stuff. Yesterday he was crossing himself like Nacho Libre and I had to explain to him that we don't do that at our church.
Emily, the kids look great! It will probably be a welcomed treat to do the first day of school activities later. :-)
I have to say that I REALLY had to hold myself back from buying unnecessary school supplies at the grocery store.

My first week was a little disorganized as well. Hopefully by the third week I will get into a routine.
